Wildlife Safari

Tiger in Corbett Welcome to India, home of the Royal Bengal Tiger. Project Tiger was started in India in 1973 in Corbett Park which is situated in the Himalayan foothills of UttarancCorbett Parthal and is a valley running east to west with the river Ramganga running through it. The picturesque terrain of Corbett encompasses vast grasslands, dense forests of deciduous and Sal trees, hills , valleys and river beds. The varied terrain leads to spectacular wildlife sightings , which can be done from open jeeps, elephant back or from the many watch towers in the park.

The invigorating smells of the jungle in the crisp cold, the adrenaline rush when one hears the call of the Sambhar, heralding the presence of the tiger, the charge of a wild elephant and the beauty of the herds of spotted deer can only be found in this piece of heaven called Corbett Park.

Corbett pWildlife Safari ark is one of the few parks in India where one can actually live within the park and enjoy the real feel and thrill of the jungles. Apart from the many resorts, hotels and camps outside the park, there are 6 locations within the park where one can stay i n govt. run Forest Rest Houses (Sarapduli, Sultan, Kanda, Ghairal, Khinnanauli, & Dhikala) . In these FRHs we ensure clean sheets and towels and where allowed, we even cook for you, while you enjoy the sounds of the jungle from the veranda, listening to the bird calls and the sound of the river flowing by a short distance away.

Corbett is home to about 140 tigers, herds of wild elephants, leopards, Sambhar,Wildlife Safari ,spotted deer, barking deer, hog deer, wild boar, civet cats, jackals, porcupine , sloth bear, crocodiles and the fish eating gharial as well as about 600 species of birds.
